DENNIS N. BUNKER, III - OWNER
Mr. Bunker, a Salisbury, North Carolina native, began his real estate career in 1981 and established Bunker Land Group, LLC in 1995. His educational background consists of a B.A. in Economics from UNC Charlotte (’81). Additionally, Mr. Bunker has a M.S. in Real Estate Development from the School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, Columbia University in New York (’90). Mr. Bunker has attained the prestigious Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM '88) and Member Appraisal Institute (MAI '96) designations. He began his career in real estate by providing general brokerage services to clients in Salisbury. In 1984 he was cofounder of a real estate development, investment and construction company. During this time he was responsible for the business development of clients seeking land and buildings for commercial and residential uses. He also established the company’s real estate investment portfolio. Mr. Bunker sold his interest in 1989 to attend graduate school.

Since 1991, he has actively engaged in valuation, development, brokerage, investment and consulting services for clients and partners pertaining to acquisitions and dispositions of land and other types of commercial real estate. The scope of his assignments has included site selection, buyer/tenant representation, financial feasibility analysis, coordination with legal and tax counsel, and highest and best use studies for real estate investors, developers, and financial clients. Property types include multi-family, residential subdivisions, retail, office, industrial, and multi-use properties.

Mr. Bunker has served on the original board of the Charlotte Region Commercial Board of Realtors (CRCBR), served several years on the North Carolina CCIM Board and is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI). He is a licensed real estate broker in North and South Carolina. Mr. Bunker is a past President of the UNC Charlotte Alumni Association and also served on the Campus Master Plan 2009 Steering Committee. He currently serves on the Foundation Board for the University.

KATHRYN M. BUNKER - PARTNER
With 18 years of industry experience, Ms. Bunker joined Bunker Land Group in January 2007 as a vital member of the company’s site selection and development team. She was previously an investment partner at Allegiance Realty Corporation, a private real estate investment company in Charlotte. There, Kathryn was involved with the acquisition of multi-tenant office and hotel deals in the $6,000,000 to $31,000,000 range. She joined Allegiance in May 2003 and was an investor with Allegiance since 1997. Prior to joining Allegiance she was a commercial real estate appraiser for 13 years at T.B. Harris, Jr. & Associates in Charlotte. During that time Kathryn performed appraisals for developers, area lending institutions and pension funds on a variety of property types, including multi-tenant office, industrial, and retail properties, as well as commercial, single, and multifamily land.

Kathryn has served as Chairman of the Metrolina Subchapter of the North Carolina Appraisal Institute, and is also a member of CREW Charlotte (Commercial Real Estate Women) where she served as President in 1996-1997. Along with her North Carolina Real Estate license, Ms. Bunker maintains her North Carolina State certified appraiser status and was awarded the MAI designation by the Appraisal Institute in 2004. Kathryn attended East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. She currently provides independent appraisal services, as well as collaborate with John Bosworth & Associates on appraisal assignments.
